MANUEL-TURIZO

Manuel Turizo (full name Manuel Turizo Zapata) is an urbano and reggaeton singer songwriter and multi-instrumentalist from Colombia whose trademark is his smooth buttery tenor singing voice. His global success has seen him break into mainstream Latin music. Una Lady Como Tu, the song that he released in 2016, was awarded the Colombian Kids Choice Award in 2017 for the Best Song. His debut album ADN was issued through La Industria Inc., which is a Medellin-based Sony distribution company. The album reached number 8 in the Top Latin Albums Chart. The following year he was a part of Ozuna to record his Top Five smash Vaina Loca. Mala Influencia is his collaboration with Noriel in the year 2020. The following year, Dopamina became his second album. He appeared later in 2021 as a duo with TINI on her most streamed track Maldita Foto. In 2023, 2000 with the hit La Bachata was released. Turizo was born into an musical family. His older brother and mother are both musicians. According to him, musicality was a mandatory aspect of his daily life. He was taught how to play the guitar, saxophone Ukulele, and piano while an infant. The initial goal was to become a vet however, his brother Julian persuaded him to learn to sing with a Cuban teacher. It was the result that he realized his talent for singing and changed the course his life.
